Anchors
for SA and SAH Helmets Explained |
|
Post Anchor
With Indexing Collar. |
Suitable
for SA or SAH helmets as the post can be oriented by
rotating the internal, moveable helmet nut washer or the
external collar.
To
Insert The Anchor:
The
helmets are pre-drilled for the HANS anchors. You
may have to use a 1/4" drill on the helmet shell,
since the hole may not be drilled to the proper
diameter. |
|
|
Place the
button head bolt through the helmet shell. Index the
anchor to a 4 o'clock position. The new bolts have thread
lock already placed on the threads. Screw the bolt into
place.
The
kit includes the anchors, 4mm allen wrench and an
indexing wrench to hold the anchor into place while
tightening the button head bolt.

Snell
SAH2010 helmets have a threaded insert
(nut washer) bonded directly inside the helmet shell.
Anchors
for these helmets are sold without nut washers. The
anchors use an indexing collar instead of a post and include a
tool to orient or index the anchor from the outside of the
helmet shell.
