ONE DISC CLUTCHES:
Install the clutch disc against the flywheel with the rivet heads facing the engine.

TWO DISC CLUTCHES:
There are two types of two disc clutch pacs.  The first type and the most common is supplied with two end clutch discs.  The end clutch disc has a hub which protrudes from only one side of the disc.  Install the clutch pac and floater plate in this order:
1.  Install either one of the clutch discs against the flywheel with the rivet heads facing you.
2.  Install the floater plate (in either direction).
3.  Install the second clutch disc with the rivet heads facing the engine.

The second type of clutch pac will be supplied with one end disc and one center disc.  The end disc has a hub which protrudes from only one side of the disc.  The center disc has a flat hub which protrudes from both sides of the disc.  Install the clutch pac and floater plate in this order:
1.  Install the center clutch disc first (in either direction).
2.  Install the floater plate (in either direction).
3.  Install the end clutch disc with the rivet heads facing the engine.

Align the clutch disc(s) with an input shaft tool and torque the bolts to 20 ft./lbs. for a 5.5" & 7.25" clutch.  Torque to 10-12 ft./lbs. for a 4.5" clutch.
