Race Oils

Red Line Race Oils are used by many teams who have found that the improved performance and equipment durability is the key to winning. 

Red Line Race Oils are made with the most thermally stable synthetic base stocks available and provide the best high-temperature lubrication and a higher film strength than any petroleum or synthetic product marketed. The ability of Red Line Oil to lubricate hot metal has enabled many cars to not only finish, but to win races after losing coolant, without serious damage to the engine. 

Even though Red Line Race Oils are straight grades, their low-temperature properties make them exceptional multigrades. Red Line Race Oils allow 1-3% more power than an oil of similar viscosity, while providing much more protection. Each reduction in viscosity grade allows 1-2% more power. To reduce the chance of detonation, our race oils contain low detergent amounts and are not recommended for street use.

All of the Race Oil Products Feature:

• Reformulated for improved frictional properties

• Special detergents for improved lubricity and less detonation

• Polyol ester base stocks provide more stability and film strength when exposed to excess fuel dilution

• Each of these products has no less than 2200ppm of zinc and phosphorus for antiwear

• Each race oil product is a multi-grade, offering 2-4% more power than oil of a similar viscosity - 20WT is a 5W20, 30WT is a 10W30, 
  40WT is a 15W40, 50WT is a 15W50

• Improved protection at startup, lower oil temp, cleanliness

• Remember to change these oils more frequently than regular motor oils

Engine Break In Additive

• Provides conventional motor oils with antiwear additives like zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) necessary to protect against camshaft and valvetrain damage on break-in
• Allow pistons rings to seat properly with less-slick oil, while antiwear additives protect other engines components to avoid excessive wear
• Can also be used in conventional and synthetic oils during regular operation, providing an extra package of protection otherwise not found in most motor oils
• 16oz bottle treats up to 12 quarts of motor oil--in many cases, one bottle can serve two engines or oil changes

20W (5W20)

• Consistent wear and operation in drag racing classes like Stock and Super Stock (many switch to 5WT for Class Racing)
• Popular for qualifying in stock car engines
• Used by many top engine builders in Spec Miata and other low-power road race engines
• Provides more power and better wear in Four-Cycle karting engines like Yamaha/Burris F200, Briggs Animal and World Formula, Honda GX 160 and GX 200, Kohler, Techmseh, and Clones

30W (10W30)

• Popular in NASCAR and Road Racing

40W (15W40)

• Versatile product used in stock car racing, road racing, and sprint cars
• Used by many of the top Dirt Late Model teams
• Used by top teams in NASCAR Spec engines for Camping World East and West Series

50W (15W50)

• Used in applications with wider bearing clearances
• Popular with sprint and midget applications on methanol -- offers less frequent oil changes due to less fuel dilution
